The End of Understanding
There will always be people who will believe the best in other people, even in the worst circumstances. People are complex, and good people can sometimes do bad things. They can compromise, they can cheat, they can hurt, and often, at the end of the day, they break down in the dark and long for more innocent days. I’d like to believe I’m one of those people who believe. So when I decide to erase you from my life, you’re really just some scum I’ve long since stopped hoping for.
For all the melodrama of the Philippine culture, it’s not melodramatic to us. It feels like the ordinary and the everyday.
